Yeah, this is definitely a sad one. I think it should have been on your top ten list! The song is popular among people in the church here. My kids listen to Evanescence as well. I've found that issues of relationships, sex, love, and marriage are the primary issues in Cyprus that open people to acknowledging and addressing the spiritual side of life. Relationships are powerful, irrational, spiritual and mysterious.
Please do! There are songs out there that present relationships in a positive light. "You're in My Heart"-Rod Stewart "I Melt with You"-Modern English "Two Hearts Beat As One"-U2 "I Say a Little Prayer"-Dionne Warwick "Let's Stay Together"-Al Greene "A Man and a Woman"-U2 I do understand, though, that when people are in a loving relationship they don't always see their need for a higher one.
(I'm looking forward to our kids spending time together. They can swap itunes.)
I looked for 'A Man and a Woman' and 'You're in my Heart' videos, but couldn't find them except for live concerts.
So I've posted James Blunt 'High,' which isn't too deep and a bit heavy on the sentimentalism. Still a nice tune, though. At least it reflects the value of lasting relationships.
I like it. True, not especially happy a song. But it's well-executed. She sings well (a rarity in most popular music). I dig it. I may have to hunt down some more Evanescence...

I think this is, by far, the saddest song I have ever heard. I couldn't keep from crying.

PS - I'll look for a happier song next time!
